INTRODUCING TEAM RIDER ASHLEY DONADT
Ashley Donadt - FEI dressage trainer and rider
Ashley is a San Diego based Grand Prix dressage rider, USDF Bronze and Silver medalist with Distinction and aspires to ride on the international stage.
After working with FEI horses and top level dressage riders and trainers for several years, Ashley started her own training business, Donadt Dressage in 2017.
In 2019 Ashley trained with Anna Buffini and got the opportunity of a lifetime to ride and learn on her Grand prix Schoolmaster, Sundayboy - the king! This gave Ashley her start in Grand Prix, competing together in August and October 2020. At their second show together in October, Ashley and Sundayboy received a 69% in the Open Grand Prix!
One of her notable future horses, the KWPN mare Liberty (Spielberg x Amati), which she was competing at CDI level, unfortunately had an injury preventing her from striving for Grand Prix, however Ashley and Evan have since successfully bred her to Ferdeaux (Bordeaux x Ferro) resulting in the cold Vincenco (2025).
Along with being a competitor, Ashley is a passionate coach. Her coaching business "Donadt Dressage" is based out of Arroyo Del Mar (home of famous dressage riders Shannon and Steffen Peters), where she he focuses on kind, compassionate training, from horses that are just being started, all the way to Grand Prix.
Ashley also finds joy in bringing the next generation of riders along, having most recently coached her FEI young rider to an Individual Gold Medal at the North American Youth Championships in 2025.
