Warranty: tall boots

Lumiere guarantees every pair of tall boots to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months from the date of purchase, provided our care instructions have been followed.

What's covered

• Defects in leather, stitching, or construction
• Faulty components — including zips, elastic panels, and soles - under normal use

What isn't covered

• Normal wear and tear, including scratches, sole wear, natural creasing, and colour fading
• Damage caused by misuse, neglect, accident, or unauthorised repair
• Damage resulting from failure to follow our care instructions - in particular, a forced zip, or leather that hasn't been cleaned or conditioned
• Boots purchased second-hand or through unauthorised resellers
• Colour change caused by oiling

Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims. Warranty on a repaired or replaced pair runs from the original purchase date, not the replacement date.

How faults are resolved

Every claim is assessed individually against photos and proof of purchase. Depending on the nature and severity of the fault, we'll offer a repair, a discount, or a replacement.

Warranty FAQs

Does riding in my boots void the warranty? No. Normal use is expected and covered. The warranty applies to defects in materials and workmanship, not everyday wear.

What if I bought my boots second-hand? The warranty applies only to boots purchased new, from Lumiere or an authorised retailer.

Will forcing a stuck zip void my warranty? Yes. See our care guide for how to keep the zip running smoothly.

Can I get my boots repaired rather than replaced? In most cases, yes - we'll offer a discount for a repair wherever it can properly resolve the fault.
