Sizing chart - Lumi Pony
Lumi Pony specialises in pony faces, and is pleased to present three pony sizes; 'Mini', 'Small Pony / Shetland' and 'Pony'.
Please find below a size chart if you would like to measure your pony prior to ordering. As a general guide, 'Pony' is suitable for ponies 12.2hh and above, 'Small Pony' is suitable for ponies 11hh and above (along with Shetlands who have proportionately large heads), and 'Mini' is suitable for ponies under 11hh.
If you purchase a size and it isn't suitable, you can always return it within 14 days if it is unused and the buckles have not been done up. Please see more info about our returns policy and process here.
Reins Sizing Chart:
Standard Bridle Sizing Chart:
Browband: measured from the end of each loop, straight across. Even if the style is curved. Standard browband loops are approximately 3cm wide.
Noseband: Measured as a circumference.
Headpiece: Measure from bit to bit, over the top of the horse's head.
Micklem Style Bridle Sizing Chart:
Measurement 1: measure from 1cm under the horse's cheekbone, all the way over the horse’s poll to the same point on the other side.
Measurement 2: measure the browband vertically from end of loop, to end of loop (don’t dip the measuring tape for curved browbands).
Measurement 3: run your finger down the bottom point of the protruding cheek bone until you get to the top of the bit. Then measure across your horse’s nose horizontally to the same point on the other side.
Measurement 4: from the outer corner of your horse’s eye, run your finger vertically down your horse’s face and stop when you reach around the middle of the bit ring (you will be an inch or so away from the bit ring). Measure from this point under your horse’s chin to the same point on the other side of its face.
Our Micklem style bridles are fairly standard in sizing.
Iddy Biddy Bitless Sizing Chart:
